**we are child-free**

But Scout counts as family, right? I wanted to share some of the process of the making of our beloved baby bar trailer. When we got Scout, she was in a state. Dirty, a little beat up, wallpaper peeling, metal rusting, and a dull grey with a green stripe in the middle.

She was quite a lot of work to fix up, but we had so much fun (most of the time). Mitchell demo'd everything, and I cleaned and stripped the wallpaper, and then I painted the walls and ceilings. Mitchell and his brother replaced a few walls and put a plywood floor in.

Then we pressure washed and painted the outside!

We brought in the big guns (aka, Mitchell's wonderful mom and brother) for the last week of preparations for the wedding. We made some cocktails and BA painted with me while Curtis installed the ledges in the windows. Scout gained a new grey stripe. And then... the disappointment. I wasn't going to get my big bar window in time for the wedding. Something stupid like "structural integrity." I was not pleased, but at least there's our reception next year (#COVIDweddings). I will say, it looks pretty good in the golden hour lighting, though.

And then... the wedding! Here's a few shots of Scout's public debut. Many, many more to come.
